Now I’m Afraid to Leave the House.

If I have one personal quote that no one ever remembers I say, it is this: “Life is all about trade-offs.”  Not karma, but the trade-off.  Something good has to happen so something bad can happen and visa versa. This morning’s trade-offs all center around the newest member of the household, Maggie.  Maggie, Sydney, Lisa, and I had an amazingly good weekend.  The dogs and I started to work on the “heel” command on Friday and made amazing progress.  No accidents in the apartment, no fights between the dogs, and no undue barking at strangers or other dogs while walking around.  I was in heaven.  But things quickly started to go sour, and this is the story.
